What Our Name Means:

What Our Name Means:

Why Trampled Rose?:

1) Jesus, the perfect lamb, chose to sacrifice Himself and become trampled for our sins to the point of death on a cross - because He loves each of us that much. He is worthy of our love and praise, and He is our example and inspiration.

2) At times in our christian walk we, too, may feel like trampled roses - but the grace of God and restoring power of the Holy Spirit is always there to renew and strengthen us when we seek the Lord, follow His Word, and repent of sin in our lives.

3) The main focus of our ministry is to love and comfort anyone who is feeling like a trampled rose: whether non-christians who have never experienced the saving knowledge and forgiveness of Jesus Christ; AS WELL AS christians who have been either wounded by judgements and attacks from other (unbiblical) christians, or just feeling overwhelmed by conditions they are facing in their lives.

4) An inspirational line from the worship song 'Above All' (which became one our favorites on our October 2001 DTS) proclaims, "like a rose trampled on the ground, you took the fall and thought of me - above all". This says it all!

WHY WOBBLE?

As II Corinthians 12:9 states, it is when we are weak that the power of God is most clearly revealed. In II Cor. 4:7, Paul tells us that as believers we have the treasure of Jesus Christ in frail, utilitarian bodies, or "earthen vessels", so that the glory of Christ may be more fully revealed.

"Wobble" elicited for us the image of a baby just learning to walk as it totters towards its beaming, excited, cheering father. Daddy will not scold such a child for falling down, but is excited and overjoyed at the attempt. Just so our Heavenly Father rejoices as we move towards Him, even though our best efforts are much like a baby's first wobbly steps. The prophet Isaiah wrote many years ago in Is. 64:6 that "all of our righteousness is like filthy rags" to a pure and holy God. There is nothing we can do to earn His approval. The Good News is that He has paid the price for our sin through the death of Jesus Christ, so that it no longer separates us from Him, and who in fact now sits at the Father's right hand making intercession for us, so that we may come boldly before the Living God (Heb. 4:16)!

Wobble is our way of praising God for what He has, and is, and has promised to continue doing in our lives, not because of anything we have done, but because of His great love towards us manifested through Jesus Christ.
