James Graham

James lives in Kalona, Iowa, in a small house (shown above with goldenrod in bloom) which he designed and built seven years ago, situated on about three acres of former farmland which are being rehabilitated into a native prairie and woodlands, bisected by a small creek. He is a member of Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, where he occasionally preaches and often teaches Sunday School. 17 years of experience in sound reinforcement are another result of his involvement at church! In his spare time, he loves reading, worshipping, working in his yard, hiking, mountain-biking and photography. His favorite foods are fried-chicken, homemade noodles, french-silk pie, almost anything with enough chocolate in it, cinnamon rolls, burritos, pizza, and ice cream. He loves philosophical discussions, or talking about sound systems, or almost any other topic, so be sure to visit with him!

"I have always known that God existed and am very thankful for a childhood rich in Bible teaching and surrounded by people who took the Word of God seriously. Unfortunately, I tended to believe that I could somehow earn God's love and blessing. In recent years I have come to a deeper understanding of His great unconditional love for me and His entire creation. My desire is to see every person impacted by the truth that Jesus laid down His rights and actually visited this planet and gave His life to proclaim "the year of the Lord's favor", an opportunity to make right the relationship with God that had been ruined by the sin of a rebellious creation. In His great love, He also left us the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth and to empower us to live pleasing to Him."

"I believe that we are in a time when people are seeking something worthy of worship. I praise God that He is the only One who is truly worthy of worship, and He has chosen us as his children, He desires that relationship with us, and has done everything to make it possible. He has been so faithful to me over the years, never giving up on me or becoming impatient, but faithfully completing the transformation that He began in me (Phil. 1:6)!"
