I sought God about returning to the ship so quickly after spending six months in the galley. That time of washing, cooking, and serving food for a crew of 400 was a great time, but also very tiring and sometimes frustrating. At the beginning of the year I was asking God why he had sent me all the way to Africa to work in the galley. Persistent prayer reminded me that Jesus had come to earth to serve the poorest of the poor, and ultimately gave His life for me-and that His purpose even in frustrating and tiring circumstances is to make us more like Him!
I have discovered that some people are born in a rich country, like me, with a good Christian home. Others are not. Regardless of your circumstances, God wants to know you personally. If you already know Him, He still wants to know you more and spend time with you. If you are not a Christian and are interested, then please take a step and find someone to tell you more about Jesus! God bless you!
