The drummer of the band, but actually just another worshipper, passionate for our heavenly Father... as my friend Drew says; only a child of God... you could say a real wobbler... so yeah, I'll tell a bit about my background. I grew up in a wonderful family with two brothers and a sister, a Christian home where Jesus was part of daily life... church on Sundays, always had a lot of fun etc... The church I grew up in was quite strict. From being very young I remember seeking after God and realness and a radical lifestyle, following Him. With ups and downs I grew up, went through school and studied graphic designing. I also started drumming, which I could honestly say changed my life. I got involved in little bands and choirs and a musical production and learned a lot about music and drumming, but also about God and serving Him in different ways. This lead to my desire to learn more about living a life passionate for Jesus.

I started looking into Bible schools and found out about the Discipleship Training School (DTS) on the Anastasis, one of the vessels of Mercy Ships. I applied and got accepted for the october 2001 DTS, where I had a wonderful time of learning and growing in my realtionship with God and living out my faith. We had a very wonderful group of people, so I made many new cross-cultural friendships. With a few of us it became a habit to have worship times on the ship in our own time and really just worship God and spend time together seeking Him. After our DTS when we were all back home again, a few of us decided to continue doing worship together in the form of a tour through the United States, encouraging people, churches, etc. This was a wonderful opportunity and felt God-led. After this we went back and felt that God still continued to use us together and decided to join the Anastasis in Togo, we all just worshipped Him by serving in different departments. For me that was in the galley, where I had a wonderful time and really grew closer to God. Even now we felt that this wasn't the last chapter or season together and we were asked to consider becoming the worship band of Mercy Ships for the Anastasis outreach department in the PR phase in Europe...

Through all of my life, as I look back on it I clearly see Gods hand, His protection and guidance in many areas, I am very grateful and thankful and all the glory and honour is for Him!
